Plague is NYU’s only intentionally funny publication.
If it wasn’t clear, the Spring 2021 issue is a parody of TIME OUT NY since we are based out of New York’s own city, New York City.
The magazine has been named “Plague” since the 70s and serendipitously survived to see COVID through— we hate to see it go, but love to see it walk away.
Hopefully, future editors will be able to publish the oral history of the time Plague Mag survived the global pandemic.
Unfortunately, that was not in our budget this year.
